Evaluation Services

As a parent or guardian, I know there is nothing more difficult than when a child’s learning, emotional or social development becomes challenging. My goal is to help you identify and understand your child’s specific needs and to ensure your child has all the possible accommodations, supports, and services that can help them find success and thrive.

Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)

Completion time: 30-40 hours

IEE's are comprehensive psychoeducational assessments paid for by the public school district when a parent or guardian disagrees with the district's assessment or wants a second, unbiased, opinion.  You must get approval from your district first and we can help you navigate this process if needed.

More information about how to obtain an IEE can be found here

Completion time: 20-25 hours

A comprehensive psychoeducational assessment includes a thorough record review, observations, interviews, cognitive or IQ testing, psychological processing testing, academic achievement testing, and social-emotional/behavioral rating scales, if there are concerns in this area. These assessments are used to diagnose learning disabilities (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other emotional disabilities such as depression or anxiety. Assessments are also used to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and provide recommendations for how to best support the student.

Consultation and Advocacy

Navigating your child's education can be confusing and overwhelming at times, especially for those with special needs. You may be overwhelmed by all the jargon and acronyms and stacks of paperwork.  I can help interpret and explain school-based psychoeducational assessment reports and IEP paperwork, help you understand your options and rights as a parent, and also attend meetings with you as a collaborative advocate, including SST meetings, 504 meetings, and IEP meetings.

Whatever your specific needs or concerns are, I am here to discuss and see if I can help.
